jackass number two?

Question

i HATE stupid movies like those lame horror movies(ring/grudge) and lame teen movies but theres something about jackass that i love.

how do other people feel about it? Do you consider yourself to have particularly good taste in movies? Do you still like it?

I acknowledge that there is a difference between my favorite movie (The Princess Bride) and the best movie I have ever seen (Requiem for a Dream). It's because there is a difference between a movie's quality and its entertainment value. It's entirely possible to greatly enjoy a bad movie (For the record, The Princess Bride is quite a good movie, just not the best ever, in my opinion.), and sometimes a really good movie doesn't bear repeated viewing or just isn't your cup of tea. Sometimes, though, a reallly bad movie is also not at all entertaining, like Eyes Wide Shut. I think I am typically entertained by good movies, and I'm also pretty good at objectively critiquing films.

There's something that I love about Jackass, too, even though I recognize that there is essentially no merit to it. Specifically, what I love about Jackass is the rampant homoeroticism. At first, I thought it was just me and that I was some kind of a weirdo, since the target audience of Jackass is clearly straight guys in their twenties. But I've talked to other gay guys, and many agree that that there is a palpable current of homoeroticism in it as well.

That's awesome. I think a lot of people feel the same way! You can't help being stoked because the cast & crew truly love working with each other ... and their, "jobs".
