All you have to say is, "this friend did this," "this lady said this," because we are all people. Try really hard to think before you speak. What a person does or says in general conversation really has nothing to do with what color they are. I don't know if black people take offense because I am Caucasian. I've never had someone say to me, "this white friend did this" or "this white lady said this" and if someone did, I would just think they were weird, I guess.

You have obviously been raised in an all white sterile neiborhood.
I say this because when you are conversing about people, what is in your minds eye? Generaly I'm sure your minds eye sees white people, cuz that is your norm. When you feel compelled to mention they are black, this indicates you need to expose yourself to more diverse people, cultures, and socially mixed environments.
I think otherwise you will always see black people as..."Those other people"

I think that people who have multicultural friends do this at times to differentiate about whom they are speaking. I don't know that it's really necessary to do but it seems as if we do it anyway. White people seem to do it more than other races.
