Rabbits do not need any medicine to breed, but this time of year it's usually a little more difficult because of the number of hours of sunlight. Rabbits usually breed the most in spring and summer when it's light for 15 hours or more. If you're having trouble, try keeping the lights in the bunnys' room on longer, and you can get a full-spectrum light from the petshop--sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. You should also make sure that both bunnies are in excellent health first, and that they aren't too young or too old. Most rabbits are not ready to breed until they are at least 6 months old, and most breeders will not breed a rabbit that is over 3 years old.

Rabbits breed well enough without medicine. Unless you have homes lined up for the babies, don't be breeding. Bunnies are cute, but once they grow people tend to tire of caring for them and they end up in a shelter.

Please, just DON'T breed rabbits. Get your females spayed, and your males neutered. There are already too many unwanted bunnies in the world, and breeding isn't going to help that. I lnow of so many families who thought that it "would be a good experience for the kids" and that they could handle all of the kittens (baby rabbits) perfectly well on their own. Some does can have up to 8 kits in one litter, and people just aren't ready to take care of 10 rabbits (mom, dad, plus babies). These poor bunnies usually end up being given away to incompetent pet stores and owners, dying, or being ill. Please, just DON'T do it!

Believe me, rabbits do NOT need any help for breeding.... they know exactly what and when (all the time). Why do you think they use a bunny for the Energizer advertisements? Their sexual drive is naturally on overdrive... LEAVE IT ALONE!
