I think pajamas that sell in the store are expensive, and my skin is sensitive to their fabrics. I want to make my own. I have the style in the mind. Has anyone made (sew) their own pajamas before? I want to hear you comments or suggestions, and share the style that you like.

I want to make the pajama like a 'Hanfu' or 'Qin mandarin neck', haha, something that doesn't look like pajamas, yet comfy. So I can wear at home. I feel wired, if I wear pajamas at home at day time or when I am not going to bed yet.

Go to the fabric store and pore through the fabric books. Start with Simplicity patterns. They also have a "Sewing for Dummies" Line out there that are super easy.

LOL or you could surf in your jammies!

I made my maternity pajamas and I have made pjs for my kids. I would just check your local fabric stores for patterns (I love to watch for the 99cent pattern sales -- they are often this time of year).

I like pajama pants. I have made them from flannel and felt they were very easy. I didn't like sewing with a jersey knit type material. I don't have a fancy sewing machine, and found the material had too much give and I made too many mistakes, but then again, they are pjs so who sees them.

That is why I do pjs -- no one has to see them.

ENJOY!!
