Why would you not want prenatal care?

If the state deems that you are not able to safely care for the child, they may take the child from you and put her/him into foster care.

Why don't you want to get prenatal care? There are WIC clinics in every county in IN where you can get free or very low-cost care.

NO~!
Prenatal care is designed to reduce birth defects and underweight babies. Once the baby is born, there is nothing prenatal care is going to do--it's over with, and the state would have no reason to take the baby then, now would they? That's an absurd question.

I wouldn't think so... how would they (the state) know?? The burden of proof is on them. Who's not to say that you didn't just move to Indiana from another state where you had prenatal care? They can't just delve into your personal medical files. They are confidential.

absolutely, in the state v. brown, a mother was denied custody of her baby for not providing prenatal care. i believe the date was dec. 1998. but check with your lawyer.

Frankly I think it is very negligent not to bother with prenatal care, it is your prerogative what happens after that.

They should...if you do not care enough about the unborn child to get it the care it needs, then what would lead us to believe you would care enough after birth?

NO ONE, especially the State, has the right to take children I don't give a crap what commie laws they have, that's your kid, and as long as you provide your kid with all the necessities of life, then screw the State! That's my opinion.
