1) Highlight the address by dragging your mouse pointer over it.
2) Press Ctrl + C. This will copy it.
3) At the top right of the open window, there are three squares: one with a dash in it, one with two squares in it, and a red cross. Click the left one to minimize (make small) your open window.
4) Open Explorer again to make a new window.
5) Click on the address bar in your new window and press Ctrl + V (paste). This will put your copied information into the new window. Click 'Go'. You're done.

you probably registered at a website which is validating your email account.
You would link a validation or activation link which has a long string. Most often if you click this link you are done. If not you need to copy paste.
Copy paste means to copy this url with a long sting, which is uniquely generated by the server for you and then paste it in the address bar of the browser you are using. in other terms you need to open that webpage once.

Take your mouse, and place your cursor at the beginning of the text in the box below, then click and hold the left mouse button, while pulling your mouse over the text. This should highlight the text. Now release the left mouse button. Now, with the cursor over the highlighted text, right click the mouse for options, and select 'copy'. Now over the empty box below, right click your mouse again, and select 'paste' and you will have copied and pasted the text.

Look in your current browser under "file" up at the top. There should be somewhere in the drop box to open a new tab or new browser. Try that.
