i am a recent immigrant to this country and i live near Ft Wayne, IN. i have been unable to find any stores that specialize in philippine foods and crafts. i would like to know where in this state that there might be other filipino communites.

Go window shopping as most Filipinos do. You are familiar with the accents of Filipinos speaking English. More often they are fluent in the language than most. I bet, a filipino head will turn around if you say a familiar expression. Filipino smiles are sweeter than others.

In Indianapolis, there is a street called Washington Street that runs right through the city. On the west side of the city, on Washington Street is a lot of Latino people and shops. I don't know if there is any Phillippine stuff though. I think they are mostly Mexican, but I don't really know for sure.
