Simply due to umpiring errors. Also because of the top-order collapse. Specially Dravid & Kaif, they got in and, after they had seen McGrath & Lee off, they gave their wickets away to a man who was thrashed by the West-Indies, Stuart Clark went for 87 in 7 overs against West-Indies. And, I think that India had taken Australia very lightly after they were 118/6. Because, if the spinners have given you such a start then, you should normally go with the faster bowlers to rap-up the things quickly.
And, as far as umpires are cencerned: I think that the umpire can only be forgiven if he has miss-judged a LBW-decision but, not the "no-ball". And, look what the 3rd-umpire did, when Harbhajan dis-lodged the bails but, he ruled Brad Haddin "not-out" but, when Harbhajan touched the bails the ball was connected to his hand, all the commentators were also saying this.
And, Harbhajan was given out to a delivery that had not touched anything at all. I think that Asad Rauf was going according to the appeals by the aussies. But you can´t go with the appeal everytime. And, I also think that some of the players should have been fined for excessive-appealing and Ponting as well, because of the decision that was taken back by the umpire, of Tendulkar.
I don´t think that Asad Rauf really looks at the white-line of "no-ball", because he has given Chris Gayle in the same fassion (today, vs Aus).
Rawal.

You can't blame the umpire for everything. The Indian batting line up tumbled but the bowlers did great job to save face. The Indian team was over-confident and under trained. If you are very good at both batting and bowling, no amount of umpiring errors could make you lose. Lets just say that the Australian team were better on that day.

well umpiring errors are a part of alot of matches. That cant be the main reason. Though Dravid is an excellent man he should not get under Chappel's thumb. He should make the decisions like which 11 players are to play, the coach should just advise. India should also stop experimenting. Most of their experiments went wrong. Like sending Dravid to open when he is the best no 3 and 4 batsman in the world!

Blaming the umpires for the loss to Australia is a lame excuse. India lost the match to Australia, which they should have easily won if the batsman played with dedication, application and self-restraint. India lost to Australia only by a small margin which many overs to go. First of all Indian batsman should cultiovate the habit of playing according to circumstances and they should switch the mode of their play according to circumstances. When we cannot play 50- overs, that too when we boast to have best batting line up in the world it is a matter of shame and there is no point to blame the Umpires. When Dinesh Mongia was playing so well, thee was no necessity for Doni and others who followed him to attempt rash strokes and get out instead of trying to take singles and rotate the strike. If there was somebody to keep hjis end together till 50 overs, we could have easily won the match.

there is not any disgrace in loosing a pastime hostile to Australia, who're no. a million interior the international of cricket now. even with the indisputable fact that, even if you loose, you should loosing combating confusing. India had a golden threat to furnish a scare to Australia as their no longer too admired bowling line up constrained Australia to a modest finished interior the first innings and if India's admired batting line up ought to have atleast matched their first innings score, it ought to were all and various's pastime, which Indian batsmen miserably failed and gave the benefit back to Australia.

it was not the mistake of the umpires , it was actually due to the
over confidence of indian players.players like dravid, dhoni and sehwag were not playing so wll like they were playing in the last 2
series. so i think that the indian players should concenctrate on the up-coming series of icc champions trophy and world cup so
to maintain their rankings
was this the best anser
if it was then please select it
