if you sell you can ask for money order and they have some way they can transfer money out of your checking I not sure how that work

Some sellers will accept personal cheques as well as, or instead or, PayPal (Paypal imposes quite a hefty charge on the seller) but this usually works only with transactions *inside* the country you're trading in - sending money overseas by any other means is expensive and risky.

However, most people seem to choose PayPal because it does offer some sort of protection to the buyer - i.e. if the goods aren't as described or don't arrive you can try to claim - and for the seller it's much simpler than handling lots of cheques. So it depends - some do, some don't.

Yes...there is something called Paypal, but I'm not sure how it works. I think somebody on here will know.....or if not.....try googling the word. I don't use ebay myself........but a few people I know do.
