I would have answered to buy a book, but I have been told already that books teach old missused words in Tagalog, whats the best way to learn the language without sounding 100 years old.

The best way to Learn Tagalog is to actually make friends with Filipinos. This way you can learn and listen at the same time. There are many blends in the language and there are many differences in pronounciation you have to learn also. Getting a book as someone suggested is a good idea, however a book as you have said will teach you many old words.
There are many Filipinos who use the internet, so you may be able to find an online friend who can teach you the basics, but you really need to hear the language as a spoken one. As there are about 250000 Filipinos in the UK, you should easily be able to make friends and with one and I'm sure that they will be glad to teach you.
If you are still not sure, there is a yearly even in Hounslow where a big rally of Filipinos go to celebrate their culture and their integration with the UK. When the next one starts next your, take yourself along and network.
I have about 15 Filipino friends and they are very nice about teaching me myself.

Go to classes or join a Filipino group, make friends and get someone to teach you. You will meet many at church on Sundays
