Hi Strawberry !
Folic acid is excellent, IT can greatly reduce the risk of having a baby with spina bifida (spinal cord on the outside if the body or not completely fused) . The world health organisation reccomends that all woman of fertile age (12-50) take folic acid suppliments everyday for life, It absolutle wont hurt you at all even if you take it for years and years. Folacin (natral form) is also found in many fruits and veg especially dark leafy veg, and if your an auzzie (like me) Vegiemite is crammed with the stuff. Im pregnant and taking multivitamins with folic acid and eating leafy greens and eating lots of vegimite and my baby is super healthy and so am I !!

Hope this helps and good luck with TTC ! :-)

Nope! Not at all! You should be taking folic acid every day if you're TTC. Even when I wasn't TTC, I took a daily vitamin that had folic acid in it anyway. Good luck!

NO. Taking folic acid when you're trying to concieve is the best thing for you! It prevents certain kinds of birth defects. If you are still having trouble concieving after a year, go to a specialist.

folic acid is good for a women, thats is or isnt trying to get pregnant. Its good for the body and can help prevent birth defects in the baby if you do become pregnant. It cannot help you get pregnant!....Seek a doctor for meds to assist with that....Good Luck!
