Highlight it with your mouse, or press tab a few times, then press the delete button on your keyboard.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

if you mean to say the bar in which we type addresese like yahoo.com then its way to remove is that just go to tools>internet options and click on the clear history and all the visited sites will be deleted from the address bar.

clear your history... you can do so by going to "tools" at the top of the window and selecting "internet options"
i take it youre trying to get rid of some porn links that you dont want other people to find out about... its ok.. happens to the best of us
