Notice the number of religious answers you have?
That is because you have asked a non-science.
The domain of belief or theories without evidence (aka belief [faith is the hope of things unseen])
Still a good question though! Future and some present science is scratching at the door of this.
Science requires cause then effect. However i don't think it is any less scientific to say that an intial event will happen without apparent cause as long as the potential energy was there and there was nothing to stop it happening. Ie a spontaenious change of energy level. This happens in quantum physics all the time.
A cute theory I have thought about (I don't know now how much of this is mine as they all start to look similiar) is that the true VOID is actually incredibly dense with pretty well infinite energy (a non-science statement).
In this senario space is the exception! A spontaenious (wish I could spell) fluctuation of energy caused differentiation. Some first generation particles formed long enough to do what they do and begin to define space. There was an eruption from this point ie big bang. From this time (yep time exists now) space is propergating through the super dense VOID. This requires immense energy because of the gradient of the dense energy outside. This energy is not available in our universe but is imparted by the void due to it's immense gravitiy effect on the matter within the universe. It is the immense gravity the all surrounding VOID that causes the accelerating expansion.
The paradox of all this is that while space is defined by the interaction of matter/gravity the actual bubble of the universe if it could be seen in the VOID might be a lot smaller than the size we experience the universe to be.
Eventually the universe expands so much the gravity and matter are so far apart (space weakens) that the VOID collapses in and we wait untill there is another sopntainous bubble.
The above is just an idea. As i said i cant claim it all but it is just some of my thoughts.

Big Bang theory explains the beginning of the universe. As to what's outside the universe, nobody knows because you cannot get to the "edge" and look out without moving through a fourth dimension, which can be understood mathematically but not achieved practically at this point.
Go to the library and get some books on cosmology.
Allah is an easy answer if you don't really care. But then where did Allah came from?

Why are so many dumb enough top belive that everything must have an end and a beginning? We all know about the theories, the big bang is just one of many theories, as of now the most accepted theoriy. For us, space just "is", there isn't any "outside" or "end".
Just the styl of your question itself shows, that even if there was some, you wouldn't understand it.

It's impossible to say what happened before and what is outside because that would be another universe, if we could knew it would then be part of our universe...
As far as what is going to happen current theory suggest that it will continue to expand until the average density of energy and matter becomes zero. This is known as heat death. Not very pretty I'm afraid.
As far as the boundary is concerned, it is moving away faster than you can travel so although there is one it can never be reached - it's also an 11 dimensional boundary which means even if you did reach it you would not be able to comprehend it.

Space did not begin, because space does not exist, it has no matter apart the planets, stars and asteroid belts that exist at random points in 4 dimension space.
The universe is infinite, meaning you can't put a boundary on the end of the universe because space is nothing, my guess is the number of universes are infinite aswell, and somehow I think that humans will never get to find what really is out there. We will destroy ourselves before that.

The Big Bang. Where an alternate universe collided with ours and our came all matter and energy. (just a theory.....the collision part anyway)
Outside the universe is the multiverse. It's just a theory but outside our universe lies the multiverse, where an infinate number of universes exist.
You've herd it of it before. Alternate realities, where everything or maybe just one thing is different.
In one universe I asked the question, you gave the answer.

'The universe and all that we know, is nestling in the palm of the original creator of everything! The great celestial being..............Bob the Builder (A.K.A, Robert the Creator [Hebrew] - He didn't play a big part in the bible in the end, his bits were cut out at the last minute due to him having trouble with his plumbing or something)! Some say God but I've seen Bob the Builder, Ive never seen God! So it must be Bob!

the truth is that nobody can answer that as our brain is too small to even comprohend this thought.
space is suposed to go on forever but nothing goes on forever everything has a begining a middle and an end and everything has a center and an edge
for all we know we could be some dust floating aroung somebodys pocket.
below is a link to my myspace blog and if you scroll down it you will find a long essay on what i think on the universe and why or how it happend though i must warn you it is long but it is very intresting and may answer a few of your questions

We are used to the idea that everything has a beginning and an end, in space there are no such boundaries

I wish i knew, theres religion and science. Science explains and religion gives hope, and some some would say explains too.
I don't think we will have a definate answer in my lfetime, i do think we will find out one day though.
