There are so many jobs in Calgary it is crazy. Every other business has a help wanted sign. You can check the Calgary Herald or the Calgary Sun classifieds or you can go to www.workopolis.ca or Monster.ca.

Housing in Calgary is a big more difficult to deal with. If you know someone there then I would try and get some friends to start looking for you. A lot of the apartments do accept children although there are several right downtown that don't. You might not have too hard or a time in the Southwest though although the cheepest is in the NE but I wouldn't want to live there personally. Apartments are really expensive in Calgary right now unfortunitely.

If you're willing to work, then you should have no problem finding work in Calgary, the economy is booming there. If you go to www.canada.com, the choose Calgary for a city, there should be a link for the local classifieds where you can check out apartments and jobs. I don't live there anymore, so I can't really comment on price of apartments, I know that it is more expensive than other parts of Canada, but not unreasonably so. Good luck! Welcome to Canada!!
