processes are listed here
1:vaporisation,any sample being examined in mass spectrometer should be first of all converted in vapour state
2:ionised,electron are bombared through electron gun on sample and due to the burst of electron,sample loose electron and become positively charged.elements over here are fragmented into isotopes and compounds are fragmented into many parts
3:accelerated,positive ions are then accelerated using electron plates
4:deflection:positive ions are deflected here in magnetic field,isotopes,or atoms with less mass are deflected the least due to their less mass and heavier the most and atoms/ions/isotopes with same deflection at the same point on detector so detection is fifth procedure
