Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It means that everyone has a different view of things. Someone might seem very beautiful to someone but another might think the same person looks ugly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
This means that every single person sees things in a different perspective. For example:
If you were to interview 10 people who saw an accident, you would hear 10 different viewpoints or stories of exactly the same incident.
Another example:
If you were to ask 10 different men of how you would rate the beauty of a woman, you would hear 10 different ratings and answers from those men. One would say "She is Beautiful",another might say,"She is too fat' ,or "She is too skinny" ..

Usage:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Each person has a different definition of what beauty is. What might be beautiful to me might not be the same for another person.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Example: a girl is beautiful for a guy cause he loves her, that's why she seems to him the most gorgeous creature in the world. At the same time - some other people could find her normal or even not pretty. So: it is not that she IS pretty - he thinks her pretty:)

The truth is: we do not love somebody because he/she is beautiful, but - somebody is beautiful for us because we love him/her....:)

Beauty lies in the beholder's eyes.
Since description of beauty depends on the person describing it, this usage has come to stay. If I find a girl beautiful, you need not see her as beautiful because beauty lies in the beholder's eyes. Not only girls anything that can be seen with our eyes, say flowers, nature etc.

It is ASSUMED that beauty is something that needs to be seen first.

People SEE with their eyes.

Each person is the HOLDER of their own eyes.

Therefore, each person's opinion of beauty is as unique as their own view point through their own eyes.

"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" ...... meaning beauty is depending on what your eyes tell you (your own unique opinion)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is one common example. It means that beauty in my eyes may be different than what beauty is to you.Sort of like one mans trash is another mans treasure.
