Hey Michael D.....
Maybe we could get you to go to Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia etc. and explain that concept of Jihad in the mosques.
However, I believe they DO preach that concept at the Bel Air Mosque,

Alot of people who look at Islamic Jihad in action (going back to its founding days) see it as aggresive as opposed to defensive.
The Crusades were to reclaim landsthat Islam had taken by the sword. I am not an apologist for the Crusades. But it was not soly Christian aggression, it ( like Israel today?) was about retaking their "stolen" lands.
Study up Westerners.
and my friends of the East.

Any good that comes from my words is from God alone, and any bad is my mistake alone. Jihad is defined as stated above. The most powerful and meaningful Jihad is overcoming the whispers in your mind and doing what you know to be right. These people who you see fighting opressive Jihads are not Muslims at all, but well-paid servants of Zionists and Free Masons that are helping to clear a path for them to do as they please with this world. Money rules this world, sadly. And truth is definitely a soft tone in a world of screams and yells. So I think all of you should try to preserve peace on as big of a level as you can and not concern yourself with the bigger politics that are always going to be corrupt and misleading, because of greed and money. You see, my friends, the ones who you claim to be terrorists are in 2 groups. Group A is the ones who are doing what they do for money. And group B are those who are at the end of a chain.. Greed -->Major corporations wanting power and money --> Mind control through media --> People not knowing better being affected --> Hatred building up in these people --> Hatred sent to the Not-so-strong Muslims. Now these Muslims who have a good heart are affected by your hate. And even reading these posts I feel hurt. It's 4:30 AM and I can't sleep without at least saying something that might open at least 1 persons eyes. If you have such a hateful opinion, I'm sorry for whoever influenced you. But to spread your hate around this world, YOU are becoming the terrorists unknowingly. So please, promote peaceful things and help out in your community to strengthen knowledge in the youth so they won't let the television become their main source of knowledge. Do something good with your lives and if you feel we are inferior to you, then do great things, and give us reason to respect you individually. We already respect your religions as long as you testify that there is ONE GOD. The same God the Jewish faith believes in, the Christian faith, and the Islamic faith. This is the only answer. Take it or leave it. But by no means should you associate my words or actions or any other mans words or actions with the divine word of God. Peace.

There's all sorts of meanings to Jihad. It can act as a call to arms to protect Muslims from a percieved enemy. Another is the holy war inside, in the mind, about beating your personal demons. Basically it's the struggle of good over evil.
You can fight a Jihad through any means, such as through legal matters, sermons, or even pursuing science. Nearly all Muslims believe that armed force is the Lesser Jihad. When it comes down to war, Jihad defines fighting the oppressors, for truth ('rejectors of truth when it is made evident to them). It's a selfless term- not about accumalating wealth or seeking fame.
Of course the concept in which Jihad was founded was created long before planes and detonation belts were introduced. But that doesn't cut much ice with some people.

I come from a Islamic country. But myself didn't study about it. But I got a Islam friend who study about it. From what I know, Islam is okay and ''not as violent as most people think''. It is just just like some other religion, about morale and other good things. And now they were celebrating one of their festival which they can not eat and drink anything for whole day except early in the morning.

Ahem. hi I am muslim girl and my name's Huda!
Jihad isn't about terrorism. Jihad is decleration of war when "suppressed"....when you know you are being forced to fight a war as a result of being tortured. All terrorrist groups in the world are there cuz there's some injustice being done to them. It's not just muslims, people.
