i've got a 1967 5 cent coin and a 1976 5 cent coin. I'm sure I heard somewhere that the older ones are worth more, but I'm not sure where to go ? this is new zealand money where we are changing to new coins. any help would be apprciated

Any old coin which has a different face than the current one is worth money. The question is how much.

Unfortunately (for you, not these people) most people born in the 60's are still alive, which means that the coin won't be worth that much. There's fairly good chance it will be worth...5 cents. If it's a rare year, it could be worth maybe up to a dollar.

Of course, maybe they made a mistake on them that year, which means they could be worth a lot more. You should consult a few coin collectors books, and even a coin shop before you take any action to sell them.

If they're not worth much, hold on to them. They'll be worth something eventually. And there's no harm in holding onto them and letting them "mature", especially since they may only be worth five cents.
