1. Sit straight, no slouching... but Not so stiff that you look like a mannequin. Relax, you want the prospective employer to also know YOU for you. If you seem too tense it will be -5points, on the other hand if relaxed but alert gains +5 points.

2. Direct eye contact when being spoken to or when speaking, but not glaring. Everyone including interviewers get uncomfortable being stared at by strangers.... keep in mind ..." I am not a cat" :)

3. If you can... SUBTLY "mirror" the interviewer's body postures but with a more or less "humble" undertone. Remember, you need him/her to do you a favor... ie. give you a job/project/scholarship. Mirroring them, is a subtle body language way of lettingthem know you agree or are in the same mind frame at least.

These were tips given to us for attending auditions and interviews by body movement classes. They have been quite helpful for me, hope it will be for you too. Good Luck...

First impressions are important. What you wear should show that you take the interview seriously, but that you are not self-absorbed. A firm handshake and a smile is always an appropriate start. You should sit when indicated or when the interviewer sits. You should sit with good posture and sit still without seeming rigid. Your eyes should meet the interviewer's initially during the greeting. You should look towards the interviewer when she is speaking without staring her down. Looking at her nose between her eyes and occasionally making eye contact is a good trick. It is okay to look away while you are thinking of a response, but you should look towards the interviewer when giving your response. If she maintains eye contact with you then meet it, otherwise just look in her direction. If you normally gesture with your hands when you talk it is appropriate to do so, but do it gently. Too many gestures or forced gestures look bad. At other times your hands should be folded on your lap or occasionally held palms together or fist in hand for emphasis. Most importantly, be yourself. If you try to "act" any certain way during the interview you'll blow it, but if you are content to be yourself and confident in your abilities then you'll shine.

i'm notably effective this suggests the two she become mendacity, or that she become slightly worried. the variety of action is often linked with somebody uncomfortable or worried. consistent with probability she does no longer supply interviews that in the process many situations. Or in all probability she purely had an itchy ear, yet i might bypass along with her being worried. sturdy success with the activity by ability of how!
