Get a stainless steel bowl or pot, line it with aluminium foil, put in a couple of teaspoons of baking soda, put your jewellery in the bottom, fill the pot with boiling water. It works just as well as any cleaner. You can do it a couple of times if it's not clean enough after the first go.

put a piece of alfoil in a tray or bowl non shiney side down ad 3 talble spoons of washing soda and put jewerly in and add boiling water enough to cover jewlerly level for 10min and rinse in cold water and dry with soft cloth

use toothpaste...it works really good....rub it on with your fingers for a couple of minutes til the tarnish comes off and then rinse...voila...clean silver
