Do a slight calf raise with one foot, keeping the other foot straight to cover the foot doing the lifting. From just the right angle/distance, you will appear to levitate a few inches off the ground. It takes practice and pantomime skills to sell the effect.

Or you could use a rope and harness, though this would require you levitate in pitch darkness or enlist the aid of a giant mirror. A huge crane arm or seesaw could also work (just so everyone stands directly in front of you).

Or, if you wear a billowy dress, you might get away with sitting on a hydraulic lift in lotus position. Just maintain your balance as the small platform rises up out of the floor, and your dress will fall down around it, concealing the mechanical trickery from the audience. (I think that might be why Buddhist monks wear robes.)

Lie on your back, on a comfortable pad, flat on the floor. You may do this in your bed also; but, you must have a firm mattress. Relax every muscle, joint, and bone in your body. This will take some time, as you have to repeat in your mind, "relax your neck, relax your neck", over and over until you feel your neck is relaxed. Then start on your shoulders, your head, your toes, your knees, your thighs, your fingers, your eyelids, your nose, your mouth. Everything must be relaxed. You will feel yourself almost "outside" your body. When you reach this euphoric state, tell your body to rise. At this point, your body will either rise or you will be asleep.

You can hypnotize someone with this procedure also. Try it with a friend. When he/she is truly relaxed, direct the person to go to the kitchen, get a glass of water, and pour the water on the floor. Never direct the person to do something dangerous to him/her/others.

Whether you are using this exercise on yourself or another, you must approach the task seriously.

Trying to levitate or hypnotize someone is not a group project. If you are looking for a "party" game, go for the Oija Board.

levitation is possible only by siddha yogis .(those yoga specialists who have attained mastery over the elements). It requires many years of learning under an enlightened Guru ( very rare these days)

lay down close your eyes imagine you are alone in the universe. Imagine you are standing holding a small stone in your palms, imagine the stone weighs tons but you can still lift it, when you get this far imagine yourself spinning faster and faster around the stone and voila

Use anti-gravity!

If that doesn't work, then a good upper cut sometimes does!
