for example: graphics on my computer dont move at all, I'll see the same graphics on other people's computers and the graphics move. glitter graphics dont even glitter at all. my yahoo emoticons dont move either.

You could need either Flash Player, Java or both. Windows XP didn't ship with Java due to a dispute with Sun. You need to download and install it yourself. This is rather painless. Just got to
http://www.java.com and hit the download button.

try opening them in Internet Explorer
You may have to install or enable javascript
Check also in Internet Explorer tools > internet options > advanced tag and click the java and multimedia options
