Communism and Socialism in general are simply impossible due to the fact that they cripple the economy and destroy all markets.

Capitalism for me please. It has flaws like every thing else, but it's better than Communism by leaps and bounds in comparison.

Capitalism is not political but communism is. Capitalism is a system of enterprise which involves the entire population.

What Carl Marks actually said was that the workers should buy shares in the enterprises where they worked, thus they will become the owners of the means of production.

What are you waiting for?

BOith work when applied correctly however you have to have 100% participation and backign form the people involved.

Communism has a bad name because of the countries that called themselves Communist but were in fact fascist capitalist structures, Soviet Union being the worst of these.

Capitalism also has a bad name because of the way its a pplied, in its purest form this would involve free markets, the US and EU prevent this happening and so niether are real capitalist structures.

There are working examples or at least close examples, of both. In northern Spain during the 1930s the communists and anarchists fighting Franco set up remarkable functioning communist socialist and anarchist areas, however the in fighting caused by their rapid formation and the threat caused by civil war and Franco's forces put paid to them. Many of these structures still exist today there and are workable models of how left wing economics works.

Capitalism exists in its purest forms in rural, non-modernised areas where free trade, without massive taxation burden, without interference can thrive. The markets of rural Africa, South America and Asia are good examples of these.

The problems with both types of economics are that power hungry people alwys end up ruining them. Capitalism tends towards money before people though, not a good thing, communist economics tend towards principle before people, also not a good idea.

A healthy mix of both would in my opinion be workable, when applied carefully from the bottom up, ensuring everyone regardless of wealth is equally treated.

Note though that communism is far more than just economics, it contains political and social theory and goes far deeper than capitalism which is merely an economic structure, for instance you can have a capitalist dictatorship or a capitalist democracy, by definition a communist dictatorship is fascist not communist.

Depends what you mean by capitalism and communism.

If it means do I think that it is better to be the slave of a multi-national corporation or the slave of a people's central committee then I say go anarchism!

To be honest, it doesn't matter when you are being beaten with a stick whether it is called "market forces" or "the people's stick".

Communism is great in principle but always ends up as a dictatorship by others...humans do not like being equal..its against genetics...goes back to Caveman times..alpha males competing to be leaders and having sub-serviant others getting them food, etc..

Benign capitalism(if it existed) would be better than communism, in practise communism doesn't work. It usually implodes because of corruption.

Not as a concept, but it is the only one that can actually work. However, there must be state control over private interest and not vice versa.
