They are the most brilliant talkers of all time. Labour politicians, in particular, are expert at personalising issues, playing to the gallery, and generally sneering at the opposition. The Tories, at least, stick to discussing policy, rather than personal attacks and abuse. Anyone who watches question time will know what I mean. If you can make slurs like, "the nasty party", when referring to the Tories, it tends to stick regardless of substance, because it feeds the prejudices of the thickoes out there, who seem to prefer personal insults to facts and meaningful debate.
