today i bought a NEW game and poped it in my ps2.the back was goldish bronze.it didn't work.i then tried a dvd that was gold on the back and it would not work.i then tried the same thing with a game and a dvd except the back was silver not gold.THEY WORKED PERFECTLY.does any one have the same problem or is it just my ps2?

ok that happen to me u have to take it back and get it xchaange the dvd rom is broken it cost 70 bucks to fix it so go and xchange it unless u want to spen 70 dollars. there is 3 roms on that thing purple, gold, and the games or dvd

That's what Sony does to you, it's to faulty. Just get a regular DVD player, you people don't need 8 of them in your house jeez.
