Yes but it usually revolves around a they deserved it kind of thing. Like if someone hits an old lady and steals her purse then while they are running away they get hit by a car and end up with a load of broken bones, I tend to get a lot of satisfaction out of that. Then I think there really is justice out there sometimes. By the way.... I love the kitty picture!!!

I think the best time to derive the pleasure of someone's misfortune is when they are completely sucessful. I think it's a quite common thing, especially with celebrities. I think when someone rises we do like to see them fall.

I think it's only human nature to see someone, that we feel is deserving, get their "comeuppance". It may not be the right way to feel, but we are all going to experience this feeling sooner or later. It's really how we deal with it that counts. I would suggest showing your pleasure only in private solitude.

You bet. Jamie has some SERIOUS issues with guilt, I'd bet. Like the saying goes, I've never killed anybody, but I've been thrilled now and then reading the obituaries. And I suppose that choosing the screen name 'confused princess' was only unintentionally ironic...

The fact that the Jerry Springer show is still running is evidence that a lot of people do.

no, it will be evil to ever think in that way. It never brings happiness to you as you will have the guiltiness in there somewhere. We should try and encourage each other when we come under such circumstances.
