We visited the UK years ago and had a lot of fun. If I had the chance I would visit again.

Lots of Americans love the British.
Look at the popularity of the BBC in America, Monty Python, Harry Potter books, Austin Powers (though he was done by a Canadian), Simon Cowell....
I think Americans probably like the Brits more than the Brits like Americans.

Anglo-phobia died out in the US soon after WW2. Huge numbers of Americans have their roots in UK. Since the advent of the Internet and genealogy searching, lots of Americans have focused upon their British ancestry. The founding fathers came from England - the Puritans.

I have stayed in Houston for 8 month working for oil industry, American is friendly people but tend to think for themselve rather than accepting what other say or what for example:-
In British, we more social between us, we tend to share thing and more open for discussion no matter how strong they are.
In American, they appear to be social but only if they benefit them rather than other. If the discussion become prelonged, they either pull out the gun or walk away and never speak of you again....it different kind of friendship.
Overall American is good people, few may be a victim of brain-washing education set by goverment and capistism-biased industry (ie Pespi, Buger King, Wal-Mart, etc). Unless you're new yorker, they love prolonged discussion almost nothing(!).

I can only speak for myself and I will tell you that I have absolutely nothing against any people from any country. Our governments spread propaganda and sometimes the people in the other countries believe that the average American is against the average citizen from elsewhere. I would love to visit your lovely country one day.

I've never been to the U.K., but I certainly don't hate it. While it's structured different, they gave a government similar to our own, and they seem like us in several other ways.
My uncle lives in Her Majesty's United Kingdom, so I certainly don't have any reason to dislike it.

I love the culture, (most of my favorite authors are British) architecture, and landscape. In fact, I wouls definitely call myself a true "Anglophile!" Plus, the majority of my ancestry is English and Welsh. I would love to visit one day.

I have no problem with the English. I can assume they're like my friends from around here. But I don't like your government.
