Put yourself into situations where you meet new people. Get hobbies, participate in meetings and happenings especially if you're a student. Contact old friends, go visit people, get out of the house.
EDIT: And getting a BF/GF will just seriously harm you, clinging on a person for the wrong reasons just never helps anything.

if you are unmarried/widow re marry. if you don't want that put your life in social activity keep yourself busy
don't go for any for addiction or bad habits
