Yes. There was a tune in my head for many years and so someday I played this tune and recorded this song - "Carinja". It was born in my inside and wanted to come out and it played in my inner world all the time.
Another thing were pictures like a movie in my head. I saw that movie day by day in my inner world - it was the scene of a stranded wale, dying on the sand. Though this wale had no voice I understood each word it thought. This pictures remained in my inside for weeks and then I understood, that this message wanted to come out. So I wrote "king of seas".
You can hear this song and story which stayed all day in my head

Yes... alot of bad songs have really addictive tunes that stay in your head. The worst time to get them is

a) during a speech - I once started reciting the song lyrics instead of my speech

b) when you're reading - It is so hard to concentrate on the words in the book when you have a song stuck in your head

c) in the middle of a test - trying to read the question and think of the answer, but all you can think of is that really annoying song that won't get out of your head.

I can think up a million more, but I don't have time.

Ugh, happens to me all the time.

What I do is let the song run all the way to the end, even if I have to force it. As soon as the song ends, I turn my attention to something that requires I actually pay attention to it, like reading a book or having a conversation. It usually gets the song unstuck.

It's almost like, since the song ended, your brain has closure. :)

Yeah, and it's usually something my 8 year old is listening to like Pussycat Dolls or something else that bad! When it's something you like, you end up hating it because it's bin stuck in there going round and round for too long. It's always just one or 2 lines from it as well.

Yes. And most definitely yes. What I hate is that I have Christmas songs running through my head and it's not even Halloween yet! Grrrr...

Yup, and the worst is when you constantly have an urge to sing it. Walking through a shopping centre singing Fall Out Boy isn't healthy.

Yes, the other day it was Aquarius from Hair. The cure is to start thinking of a different song.
