Hi! I just love Robin Hobb (The Liveships and moreover The Assassin Apprentice), Georges RR Martin (his Song of Ice and Fire), Katharine Kerr (Deverry's chronicles), and of course Tolkien etc...
But now I don't have the faintest idea of what I should pick on the librairy... Ideas?

Read the Merlin Series by Mary Stewart

Merlin
1. The Crystal Cave (1970)
2. The Hollow Hills (1973)
3. The Last Enchantment (1979)
4. The Wicked Day (1983)

Older books - but very good.

Anne McCaffrey writes on a broad spectrum in the fantasy realm. She wrote the Pern series about the dragonriders, she wrote the Brain ship series, the Crystal singer series, and so many others. For a complete list of her publications go to this site, it is her official site. http://www.annemccaffrey.net/books/index.html
Sheri S. Tepper is also a great author. I love her Mavin Manyshaped chronicles.

hmm, yep I''ve read all of those, if you want to stick with fantasy try The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Stephen R Donaldson (6 books in the series), The Mists of Avalon, Marin Zimmer Bradley (Arthurian legend), The Clan of the Cave Bear, Jean M Auel, follow that one up with the sequels. Enjoy your reading!

Go to Baen's Biooks and sign in on that site. From there you can go to the chat room, the forum, the Bar or download free ebooks. At any of these sites except the free ebooks, you can converse with others' and with the authors themselves. Enjoy and have fun.

Have you tried King Fortis the Brave? It's shorter than the books you've mentioned, but every bit as good (or better). Full of adventure and humor, you'll have a tough time putting it back down.
