Spare the world your propaganda...but to answer the question usually yes , it depends on if personal use is permitted by the employer. In most cases cars are given as perks or because the employee is on call.

The comparison of GWB to an employee and military being a company vehicle is laughable at best. Grow up and leave the pundit stuff to Fox News & CNN.

Most of the time - if you are given a company car, you can use it for personal business as well. It would have to be spelled out - as a matter of policy and procedure - that personal use is not allowed. However, most businesses allow personal or private use as well as "offical" use. This is especially true if there are no other forms of transportaion available.

No, what if something happens. On the other hand if they say that it is okay, make sure this is comes from someone in a that get the name and position or status of the person in uthority, not a slacker, b4 you do it. Be sure you get the particulars like when to have it back. Double inportant make sure you do what you say that you are going to do.

Every company car is given on conditions. Each employer has different expectations and every employee has different job-related needs.

Get a life. If an employee is given a company car then it is his to drive where ever he wants. It is a perk that he has earned. People who complain about this are jealous that they haven't earned one.
