I was in a serious relationship a couple of years ago. I lost 60lbs and he started treating me very bad. Saying that I've changed. That I'm not the same person, and he didn't love me anymore. It turned into physical abusive, I think because he was insecure and jealous of me...thinking I'd find another man.

If you want to lose weight, then do it. Your partners true colors will come out when it happens. If he doesn't like it then get rid of him. He should like you for who you are nomatter how much you weigh.

Yes it happened to me some years ago. I lost about 30 lbs and toned up my body after having my children because a lot post-pregnancy weight remained. My husband has always been a bit jealous knowing I looked attractive to other men to, but this got worse when I went on a diet and lost weight.
He would complain about it and feared I was going to run off with someone else. What he did do was buy me boxes of chocolates, bring in curries, fast foods etc because he knew I liked those to and if they were already there at home, then id probably eat them or if I resisted he would say '" just thought I'd buy you a treat" or "why don't you just eat it, its already there waiting for you" "thought I'd save you doing some cooking" etc...that sort of thing. But the reality was he was wanting to keep me fat so men wouldn't think I was attractive. Even although I did eventually put on the pounds again and even some added ones, its still hasn't stopped his fear and insecurities nor has it deterred others from saying I'm still attractive. And yes, a problem like this did affect our marriage and I learned to realize its all about him wanting to control me, not only over this, but in other ways to.
Glad to say he doesn't have such a control over me now.

when i began working i weighed nearly 190 lbs over time i lost 40 lbs and looked good. unfortunatly my husband did not like all the attention i was getting and became very jealous. we worked at the same location. i couldn't talk to any one female or male and i was required to dress in loose clothes. he would constantly watch me and would yell at me in front of everyone. it got to the point where he quit his job and would drive me to and from work and show up at all hours to watch me. i got tired of supporting him and kicked him out. now i am in a good relationship with a man who loves me no matter what size i am.
