I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my first child. Whenever I pee, I have this fear that the baby is going to start coming out! I didn't want to ask my doctor because I thought she would think it was weird. Is this a normal, rational fear or am I nuts?

I've never been that far along. I was seventeen weeks pregnant and I had a miscarriage. I didn't feel that way, but that doesn't mean that it isn't normal to feel that way. Don't listen to those stupid people that say you are nuts. And you know who you are. Just ask your doctor about it. Don't feel weird I'm sure they have people ask them all kinds of questions. That's what their there for. I know when I was pregnant,I had some bleeding. in the first trimester. I had so many people that were trying to tell me that that wasn't normal. I had three doctors tell me that it was normal. I ended up losing her, but because of another medical reason. But it really annoys me when stupid people think they know more then a trained doctor that delivers babies everyday dose. Your probably just getting really far along and that baby is just get ready to come out. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor. That's what their there for. I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck sweetie!

No, it's not weird at all. In fact many woman have this feeling that the baby will fall out just walking around. It's a stange feeling but perfectly normal at this stage in your pregnancy. However, if your embarassed about talking to you doctor, you need to get What To Expect When Your Expecting, or a book like it. It answers all these question and then you'll know when you do need to worry. Good luck!

Oh ha, I know I had those same feelings. I didn't want to ask my doctor about it, but I ended up asking him. Its just the feeling of the baby pressing down there. I had those thoughts with my first child. After birth, realizing how difficult it is to get the baby out, and that the baby cannot "fall" out, I did not have such problems with my second pregnancy!

Girl! that so normal! You are about to have a baby soon. the baby isnt the size of a pea anymore! He/she has no room in there. its pushing on everything. Youre not going to have your baby in the toilet. Relax. And you should be going to the dr soon, so just ask her. You will not be the first person to ask her that question. And anyway, you trust her delivering your baby but you dont trust her enough to ask her that question? Thats what shes there for and I bet you the answer she gives you will be one of the reasons shes a good dr.

Well, I know this girl that didn't know she was pregnant and thought she had to go to the bathroom and pushed the baby right out. And I am not saying this to scare you. No you are not crazy, the baby is just pushing against all your organs. Your doc won't think you are crazy, just slyly mention in when he/she asks how you have been doing.

You're nuts...Nah, I'm just kidding...it's totally normal...but if you think that's weird, just wait till you have the kid...you'll be scared of all sorts of weird things that you never thought of before.

Its unfounded, urinating doesn't even involve the same structures as the birthing mechanisms, don't worry about.
