NASCAR is a waste of gas in the same way that YOU are a waste of Oxygen.

Funny...I didn't know that we are running out of gasoline in the world. I suggest you go to the men and women who are running Nascar and personally tell them that Nascar is nothing more than a waste of gas and tell them to shut it down.

The stock-cars that are driven in Nascar don't use the same "gasoline" that us regular people use in our cars!!

We are not running out of gas. The world demand has greatly increased with China becoming more industrialized. That is what caused the gas prices to spike. If you think NASCAR is a waste of gas, don't watch. ESPN generally has a nice round of golf for your viewing pleasure. Not much gas wasted there, just time. Perfect for you.

That is your opinion, and you are intitled to it, But opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one and they ALL STINK!! However I would like you to do me a favor..... YOU go to all of these sponsers(which if you are alive and well, you support just as much as us real fans do) that pour Billions into NASCAR evey year, and tell them that YOU think NASCAR is a waste of gas. I am quite sure that all these sponsers (That even you support) will at the drop of a hat, on your suggestion, quit pouring billions upon billions of dollars into the support of NASCAR. Oh, And while your at it, Go to the track owners and let them know also that NASCAR is a waste of gas, and that if you had YOUR way, they would be out of buisness and not able to fill the stands with 130,000 + screaming fans for 36 weeks of 52 a year. Your ridiculous little opinion has be noted!! Get a life!!!!!

Motorsports are not a waste of gas, already some people are trying to make them as eco-friendly as possible. At least in Formula 1. Nascar?... By the looks of it, nobody is quite interested about making it "greener", because the cars are very low-tech.
In F1 they are already looking at braking energy recovery devices, ways to use waste heat and exhaust gases to power the cars... Stock cars are way, way, way, WAY behind.

And you just wasted 5 pts on a stupid question. Nascar is the 2nd most watched sport, after football. Just because you don't like it, obviously many people do.

Wonder how much Gas it takes to go to Football Games at a particular College, High School, Pro Field, Little League, etc.?
How about Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Golf, etc.??
How about a Rock Concert, Country, etc and these are not even a Sport?
Should I fill a book or is it possible that you realize what a question you've asked?
