Every 2 months, and it hasn't found a virus in 4 years now.

Once every 4-5 days. However, I scan for malware everyday.

Daily...

... at dawn immediately after dowloading updates and doing the necessary safe mode ad/mal/spyware scans. Immediately after that, clean-up unnecessary files, then defrag, then have the downloader cue in all those files to be obtained, let it do downloads as I take a three-hour sleep.

rarely i scan . I will scan my computer only if I think my computer is running slow or I m getting any unwanted pop ups

My anti-virus, anti-spy scans daily. (It means i scan my whole hard disk for infections everyday.)

i scan for spyware/adware daily
for viruses...once every week or 2....or whenever the case

I don't run virus or adware checkers. Don't need them if you're strict in what you do :)
