aside from doing good stretch like pilates or having to endure the great hassle of heels and platforms, i think the right clothes will play a very cruical role in making you look reasonably higher or at least enhance your look based on your height.
If you are medium-build or short but not on the over-weight side, you should wear bottoms that are NOT baggy, boot-cut. Try not to wear 3/4 skirts and shorts too. Try slacks or black fitting-pants that will make your legs look longer. As for the top, do not wear very 'loud prints' (big flowers and patterns) or anything long which goes below your hips. this will make you look even shorter. Hight 'turtle-neck' blouse all helps.
Lastly, wear you clothes and attitude right! Don't slouch! Walk chin-up and with confidence. Thinking positive will take away the insecurities of your height.
Good Luck!

I don't know any 'exercises' that would make you taller, but you could use an inversion table. Hanging upside down on these will actually make you a few inches taller. The main purpose though is to relieve back pain.

if you are young and probably are, the best thing that you can do is to eat a LOT of protein. Eat as much food as you can, but DO NOT, stay on the couch. If you eat you need to get a lot of excercise. You need to metabolze the food you eat into energy, the protein will be tuned into muscle and bone. This is not the most reliable way to ensure that you will be taller, but its abou the only shot you have at it. Good nutrition will help you maximize your height potential.

Try Pilates. or any other exercise that focuses on your "core" muscles. You'll look and feel taller in about 6-10 weeks.

just drink a lot of milk. unforturntly for some ppl, height is genetical. if ur parents are short, ur probably not gonna be tall, and vice versa. but in basketball, skills is the most important. my friend is like 5'4, but he is fast as hell and can shoot jumpers all day. and hes hella BUFF. so height really isn't a issue.

It's all about genetics, what ethnicity you are, environment you grew up in, diet, posture, amount of sleep, etc.
Look at your parents. Are they taller or shorter than other people in your ethnic group at their age.
Unfortunately, there is no way to make yourself taller.
Hey, I'm only 5'6" tall...no worries here!! :-)
