I don't hate any of those guys. Although I'm mainly a Penske and Joe Gibbs fan, I don't mind Hendrick one bit. Why should I? All the guys in that racing group have proven to be fantastic drivers who can win races. Their teams are usually on the ball, and the drivers try their hardest to do well. Jimmie Johnson, for instance, has really shown everybody what he's all about. He won Indy 500 and many other huge racing events, and he has done well...and continues to. Jeff Gordon has many championships and is currently doing very well in the chase. Brian Vickers and Kyle Busch do better each time, and I never count them out as a contender for a win. All those guys have really impressed me, and I respect them for their driving ability. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question about why people hate them...because I'm not one of those haters!

They hate them because they are good bottom line and Jeff Gordon has more wins and championships then anyone and hes on a role and will win his 5th title I can feel it. Another thing is where is their proof of Jeff Gordon cheating on Brooke, I don't think so, and they got divorced because they couldn't be their true self around the other person. Then to the Hendrick Organization having legal problems they all do, come on. Rick Hendrick is a good guy, he lost his brother, son, and 2 neices, in that plane crash near Martinsville, in 2004, the same year Jeff Gordon won both races, completing a Martinsville Sweep. Something that doesn't happen often. Rick Hendrick besides dealing with that battled lukemia for a long time, and that takes a strong person to get through. I think he is a great guy with a great organization and has talented drivers, I really don't like Kyle or Kurt Busch, because they are cry babies, but you got to give Kyle credit for trying to change and they have 3 drivers in the chase and thats not easy to do. GO HENDRICK!!!! GO 24!!!!

Anyone who has been to a race can tell you that Gordon has a huge fan base. Jeff is just one of those people that you either love him or hate him. I don't know where people get the opinion Jeff "whines". I haven't heard anything like that for years. I think some of the things he comments about are reasonable. Why is it when other drivers state opinions about track or safety issues it is OK, but if Jeff makes a comment, he's whining? The bottom line is that a lot of people think Jeff should have taken longer to "earn" his way to the championships. Another funny thing is the way people negatively associate him with Dale Sr. as if Jeff compared himself to Dale. It was Dale that frequently spoke of what a great driver Jeff was.

As far a JJ "cheating", there are a lot of other drivers who are caught doing some things they shouldn't but you don't hear them talked about. I'm not saying it's OK, just don't slam one driver for it. I imagine they all do a little once in a while.

GO 24!!!

I don't hate the Hendrick drivers, but I have to say that one of my favorite NASCAR banquet moments was the year there was no chair for Jeffy!

Speaking as a long-time race fan, I personally quickly grew tired of hearing about Jeff Gordon. It didn't matter if he was running 2nd or 42nd, the TV guys were always talking about him. It was the same with Junior for a couple of years (same with Mikey when DW is on the air). No mention of less "popular" drivers like Terry Labonte. The media is biased in Jeffy's favor. Did you ever notice when he messes up, it is someone else's fault or "one of those racing deals"? But if someone else does the same thing, they are wrong and evil and should be banned from racing. I just think he is a big phony--Mr. Goody-two-shoes, espousing his Christian beliefs, thanking God when he won races, then we find out he was cheating on his wife.

Anyway, I just was suffering from Gordon Overload. Not so many years ago, the only NASCAR-related items in regular stores were Earnhardt (Sr) and Gordon.

Remember that Rick Hendrick had legal problems so some people lost respect for Hendrick Motorsports because of that. I have to say, though, that I felt sorry for all of them, especially Brian Vickers, when the plane crash occured. And I do admire the work that Rick Hendrick has done with the Hendrick Marrow Foundation.

Hate is a strong word so I'm going to use strongly dislike.

My thing with the HMS drivers, except for Brian Vickers is that they have the tendency to think that they walk on water, that they can do whatever they want to do and that the other drivers on the track should move out of their way.

Take for example last week's race. Brian Vickers was going for his first Cup win and was about to get it until good ol' Jeff Gordon pitched a fit and says that Brian should move out of his way because he is in the Chase and he needs to get his points. I'm sorry but that is not being a team player. How would Jeff like it if Brian did that to him?

Jeff is always whining about someone not moving out of his way, somebody doing this and that to him. Yet if he wrecks someone it's a racing deal but if somebody wrecks him then the other driver did it on purpose! Now...I applaud Jeff for his accomplishments but that is no reason to act like a spoiled brat when things don't go your way.

Then you have Jimmie Johnson who's team cheats so much that it isn't even funny. That team has gotten caught cheating so many times before this years Daytona 500, yet Nascar didn't do anything to them. But they finally did this year!! So Jimmie had the tainted Daytona 500 win because everybody knows that they cheated to win the race and lord only knows how many other times they've cheated this season.

Last and surely not least there's the little gremlin known as Kyle Busch. My dislike towards this lil cretin stems back to the 2004 Busch series season when Kyle decided to bash Martin Truex Jr by saying that Martin did not deserve the championship and that Martin would not make a great champion. I wanted to ring his lil demon neck for saying that and I still do! IMO, Kyle was jealous because a better driver was kicking his butt week after week. Another thing about Kyle is that he will purposely wreck a driver, that's not cool.

IMO, Jimmie, Jeff and Kyle act as if everybody else is supposed to move out of their way. Brian is the only one who has any class with that racing team!

You'll find it is a common theme, Vickers really isn't hated. JJ, Gordon are usually hated by everyone, and Kyle is disliked by many.

I don't see the hatred toward Kyle, as he is just speaking his mind. Truex really wasn't a great Busch Champion. The Champion, or championship-caliber people need to be better with the media than Truex was. I wouldn't want him as a spokesman for the series. Then again, Kyle wouldn't have been much better, so he shouldn't have said anything. The only issue I see with Kyle is periodic lapses in maturity, and those run deep until they are over.

JJ, the reasons are endless people hate him. His team has gotten away with so much that it isn't funny. I think running in the grey area is the only way JJ can compete, as I don't see any true driving ability in him. He wrecked drivers on purpose, then blamed them (remember the incident with Harvick in the shooutout a few years ago, where he admitted to brake-checking Harvick but demanded Harvick be fired in the same interview?). He wrecked Jeff Burton one race so that he could keep his top-5 or top-10 streak going, then blamed Burton for that. JJ isn't mature for someone who claims to be a champion.

Jeff Gordon is just guilty by association to JJ. JJ's demeanor has wiped off on Gordon in a very bad way.

people hate them becuase they are the best.... Gordon is a 4x Champion.... will get his 5th this season for sure. Gordon will get to 7 Championships sooner or later and all the Jr fans will piss and moan about how much they hate him.... all comes down to jealousy and the fact Jr is not and never will be as good as Jeff Gordon .....they just need to get out of the dream world they are living in thinking Jr is talented enough to win a championship even once let alone 4x..... ( all in good fun Jr fans..don't take my comments to seriously )

I dont hate the hendrick drivers, its the system. a car owner should be limited to 2 to 3 cars. its not that hard to win a championship if, You own all the cars in the field. but, Youre not alone, I feel the same way about Rousch.
