Darkness is simply the lack of photons, thus darkness would "travel" as fast as light does. However, it is the lack of something, not an actual object. I don't see how you can use it to travel.

Darkness has no speed and no energy. Because darkness is the absence of light (which CAN travel) you would not be able to use it to travel.

properly as you be attentive to, darkness does not shuttle, yet you're suitable on approximately some areas of area being brighter than others giving the visual attraction of darkness. that is precisely what we see. right that is something else you may evaluate, some gentle is even invisible to our eyes so no, there is not any darkness in any respect. anyplace there is count, there will be means and a few form of sunshine. Scientists have been waiting to create a special to proper sport of "absolute darkness" in a controlled ecosystem, yet as I unquestionably have suggested it become no longer proper. I do have faith, although, that if the "vast bang" is ever shown, then that is achievable that absolute darkness does certainly exist previous the outer edges of our universe the place count has yet to realize. till of direction the outer side has already reached yet another universe complete of count, yet that is yet another undertaking i'm going to save for later.

Is that theory from Time Bandits or Neverending Story?
Those movies are based on fantasy stories used to wear out kids who can't get to sleep by overactivating their brains till they tire and nod off. The speed of darkness is as real as the world on the other side of the mirror. It's just a dose of magic thrown into the story to make unlikely things seem possible.
Until someone finds a way to make it real...

It is true that shadows, which is just darkness, can travel faster then the speed of light. However, since shadows carry no energy I don't see how this could do anything for you in a sci fi sense.

there is no "darkness" only a lack of light. there is a speed of light and when it is dark it is because the light has past or can not make a direct path to the place where it is dark

'Darkness' is simply the absence of light. To talk of the 'speed of darkness' is to talk of the speed of something that isn't there! I'm reminded of an appropriate verse, it is:

The other day upon the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today
Oh how I wish he'd go away!

why travel from point A to point B if you can fold that distance in half, so there won't be any distance between point A and B, instant time travel, don't know how it could be done but that's how UFOs travel :)
