D'you know I bought the all singing and dancing 60 GB with Video one and it got scratched to hell. Also the screen got damaged, somehow. I only watched a video on it once. I gave it away and bought a little Nano that stores 1000 songs and I MUCH prefer it. It is sexy and easy to carry and I doubt I will ever need to have access to 1000 songs at any one time. I would invest the extra money in a decent pair of headphones coz the Apple ones are rubbish.

There is no best one, they'll all designed to serve a specific need. I have the Nano, because I have no desire to watch Video on an Ipod. If I want to watch a video, I have 2 5 disk dvd changers, a desktop computer, and a notebook computer. :P

eww. ok please reconcider as theres better mp3 players for the same price. creative zen vision m . see it has more than 4 times the amount of color on the screen than an ipod video. it also has 4.5 hours of video playback. and has better sound quality. has higher output to tv 640x480 which is twice as much as the ipod.
it also is much more durable and comes in 5 colors. it supports more video foramts to so if you want video you dont havet o go thorugh the step of converting the movies. just drag n drop too. it supports about 6 video formtats vs ipods 2. i t also can be used with most online music stores. such as napster raphsody yahoo unlimited. mp3.com urge and MUCHmore. also it iseasier and funner to use. http://www.buy.com/retail/searchresults.asp?querytype=home&qu=creative+zen+vision+m&qxt=home&display=col&dclksa=1

It depends...how many songs do you want on there? do you want pictures too? And videos? The more you want the more expensive it gets.
