I mean without slashing the tire itself, if you just uncap the hose and push away, can the driver charge you?

If you were caught in the act you could be charged with "mischief", and yes the charge does fit cause only a childless person would engage in such behavior.

I saw a commercial on TV yesternight. It was from the point of view of the gas station security camera. There was a car parked at a gas pump and when the driver left the vehicle to go pay for his gasoline, the gas pump moves by itself towards one of the tires of the parked vehicle and then the gas pump uncaps it and flattens it and then the gas pump returns to its original place as if nothing happened and then when the driver returns to the vehicle, he notices that the tire is flat and he wonders how in the world that could have happened and then a slogan popped up on the screen that read "GAS PUMPS HATE YOU."

I don't remember what the commercial was advertising, but anyway, if a gas pump can do it, then why not a human being, right?

That would also go under tresspass to chatels (french for property). You may also get vandalism.
Though its unlikely they'll catch you. This is both a criminal and a civil matter, so add up court costs and a nominal amount for annoyances (maybe an extra $100-$200), plus a good behaviour bond (or warning if you don't have a record).

No, girl
Deflate them muthafu@%ers they'll probably thank you later for not slashing them or busting a window.

Sounds like Heartbreak Hotel! Been there did that...got the T-shirt.

However, the best thing for you to do is to just move on. The person may, in response over react and you don't want to catch a case!

Be good to yourself...move on!

For those of you who consider it basically a "prank", think about how you would feel if someone did this to your car daily for weeks. My car has had the air let out of my tires for over two weeks now. They let so much air out of one of the tires on Saturday that I had to call a tow truck since I didn't want to damage my rim. Does this really sound like a "fun" thing to do? No to me.

Yes and they can have local police cite you (an arrest is very unlikely) for such damages and you can fast expect an appearance in small claims Civil Court.

What if the whole parking lot is full, and you see some ******** in a brand new car with out of state plates that took two spots, for their convenience?
