Everything is going to be all right.
The truth tends to itself.
One door closes, another one opens.
Happens to all of us.
What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.
Love yourself and everyone else will love you too.
I love you.

It depends on the person...
"I'm sorry"
"You will be ok."
"You will make it through this."
"What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger"
But sometimes... it is better not to say anything at all. They say silence is golden. Sometimes there is nothing you can say to make a person feel better.
Perhaps your presence is all that is needed. To sit next to them while they cry, silently showing that you are there for them. Listen and nod gently in agreement to whatever they say, but never offer advice or an opinion of your own.
A soft hand on an arm... A hug... a pat on the back... these kinds of actions can show more than words can ever tell...
:)
Best Wishes...

It depends on the problem. I told someone who had cancer that "Most people are dying. Just some faster than others. The key is to truly live and not worry about the end." this made her laugh and feel better. She recently died, but lived to the end. So sometimes the last thing you think of saying may be the best.

A hug really helps, but if your unable to do this, then send someone their way who can hug them.
Never hug a married man if this is your case
find a minister to help and better yet tell his wife.
Be all that God wants you to be,practice makes perfect.
If this is a female to female friend or mom or aunt or cousin,ya go ahead give them a long hug,you may even find they may want to cry on your shoulder, and thats where the healing process comes in handy, trust me I know.
Also christian counseling helps if the person whom you are speaking about is young go to the "Christian Youth Service Buroe" for help and seek out a proffessional Christian Counseloure.
They help my son and I a little too,to express our thoughts.

Everything happens for a reason, although we may not know what the reason is sometimes; there's nothing you could have done to change the situation. Just keep your head up and think of it this way: It CAN get worse, be glad that it's not as bad as some others may have it.

it depends on wha the problem is. you should not get urself down over anything because there is nothing to get your hopes down for you should just keep smiling 24/7 and if i were there and i knew you i would hold you in my arms and tell u it will be ok and stay there by your side and comfort you.

"I'm sorry." combine this with a BIG hug.
"What can I do to make things better?"
how about, "It'll be all right" (even if you know it won't, this is reassuring.)
the best thing you can do, better than anything you can say, is to stay with that person and show that you care

it depends on the situation. but i would just try to make them laugh. like if they were unhappy about being short, i would just be like "well at least youre not a leprechaun!" (okay, thats not funny but you get the point lol)
also, just be there for them. listen and thet them get it all out of their system.
