I know everyone is different- but I feel like every store I go to- I feel like they are trying to talk me up by saying " this is what most women get.."

Depends on where you live, but the average really is getting up to about 1 carat. In some geographical areas it's bigger, some smaller. Who cares what everyone else is getting? Just tell your jeweler what you want to spend, and if they are an honest retailer, they will get you the best possible quality for your budget

don't worry about all that, let the poor man do the best he can do and don't live on borrowed time like Travis Tritt are you familar with the song?

I'll give you a verse..."I bought my wife a little diamond ring, her mom said hun can't even see that thing, it'll be paid off when I am sixty five if I'm lucky enough to still be alive.... even if I was to up and pass away my family wouldn't have enough to dig the grave, no tombstone just an old wooden sign, sayin' he was just livin' on borrowed time...."

kind of good ryming and a sad theme really... every jokes need their exageration but don't let society dictate to you what or how big or how much... do what you can do and your love will florish forever!

really does depend on your budget, buy the best diamond in your price range, not the biggest.

Or go for fake, very few can tell, just make sure the ring part is real gold so your finger doesn't turn green.

I didn't get a diamond because we were renovating a house. A few years later I bought a fake, it looks good, it was cheap and the ring is real gold.

I'm pretty sure it depends on the income of the buyer. Some people have doorknobs, and some have pinheads.

They are ABSOLUTELY trying to upsell you. Why would you want something "most women" supposedly have, anyway? Ew. Attack of the clones.
