Idk about a laptop.. But you could goto control panel.. Sounds and Audio Devices... Then place a tick in "Place volume Icon in the taskbar".. Now when you want to change the volume click the speaker icon near the time.. That helps lol

It depends on the laptop. Check near the headphone outlet. Otherwise, some also allow upping the volume by pressing the "Function" key plus one of the F-keys to increase or lower the volume.
Of course, windows has its own built in method by going into the control panel (like the previous person said).

Well, that is different in all the laptops.
The most common way is:
If you look at the F's keys (F1, F2,F3...) they have symbols, probably with a different color, like blue). There are two of these keys with a volume symbol, or a speaker symbol.
So you have to press and Hold the Function Key (next to the Ctrl or Alt key) and then press the F key with the volume symbol.

Look on all sides of your laptop..........if you cannot find it there then try this if you have windows.....at your home screen, look at the bottom right and click on the speaker phone...that allows you to turn the volume up or down.
