I had mine removed and I have only two small incisions. It isn't a big deal. Just watch what you eat and drink. If she has surgery it is usually a one day thing.

be prepared to spend a few nights in the hospital.
pack a bag just in case with a few things from home.
hubby had this done and is doing ok

Tell her not to worry. It is a relatively miner operation. She will have trouble later with gas and not being able to eat much greasy foods.

do not eat any greasy foods or anything with milk in it. afterwards if you continue to stay sick go back to your doctor.
