No, 3 in 1 is too light and will burn off as soon as you start the engine. 90 weight gear lube is what you need. Just pour one bottle on the air filter before you start the engine. This way the whole intake and exhaust system, along with the muffler bearings, Knuten Valve, and trunions will be lubricated.

There is no such thing as a muffler bearing.
I hope some repair shop isn't billing you for this....
If so, what you need is a Kanueter valve, and i have the only one in the world which I will sell to you for $2000. firm.

If there is indeed a bearing in your muffler (damn French) then I suppose 3 in 1 won't hurt.
