2002 Chevrolet Suburban LT. Paid $20,000 for it... two years ago with 32k on the clock.

Here are some lessons:

SCHOOL works, but so does real world experience
NEVER pay cash for a car... If you have the money and its not from drugs, your SUPPOSED to be smart enough to know that you can haggle one hell of a deal on the financing, and put that money to work elsewhere to make more money. I got my loan down to 3.9% for five years and I've made five figures on the 50% down payment I was going to put down.

By the way... The richest SMART people almost never have NEW cars and they are almost NEVER exotics. The vast majority of millionaires in this country have either an F150, Explorer, Tahoe, Suburban or Expedition... One of the many reasons why they are still rich.

my dad drives a 2000 Holden VT Commodore, series 2 with FE2 (sport) suspension underneath, I've driven it and let me say it fair goes and can take any V8 at the lights, oh cost him $27K aud when he got it in 2001.

I drive a 1992 Ford Laser hatch, 5 speed manual, goes quite quick aswell-will try against any V6 given the chance, mum and dad paid for it as I wanted my own car not long after I got my learners but my names on the rego for it, mum and dad dont drive it unless I say they can-which is if I leave it in town for them when i go away, paid $2500 aud.
