any suggestions that i might be able to download as cheaply as possible?

Well, there are a couple of programs that can give you maps of the night sky relative to where you are and what time it is. Im not sure about the whole 3d aspect of it however. Heres a link to a program that you have to pay for, its

Take a look at those two programs, they might be able to hep you. I really cant think of any programs that are 3d, but good luck.

Well there are a few, but hardly for 3 D ... what do you need 3 d for ? If it is given, proportions are fasified anyway ... and even with a good amatuer's telescope you will hardly be able to recognize the universe in 3 D.

Download Celestia. Is free, is open source, and runs on windows and linux.

you can also try search engine ask.com
ask your question there you will get a listing of sites closely related with your question..
