This has happened a couple of times now,the other day came home opened up the bags to find no large fries, rang them they said we'll take your word for it come back and get them. Now the problem is shouldnt they deliver the fries as it was there mistake,if not shouldnt they give some form of compensation- like a free sundae or something. I went back and didnt even get an apology made to look like I wanted to take advantage, the cost of the petrol going back there was probably higher then the fries anyway,,,,not happy

I'VE GOT YOUR ANSWER!!! I went to KFC and they forgot my coleslaw on a 'to go' order, so I called the toll free # on the bucket of bird and they sent me a $20 gift certificate.
I went to Taco Bell and waited 15 minutes in the drive through, called the toll free number and complained, they sent me a $10 gift certificate!
Two weeks ago we tried Pizza Huts new Lasagna pizza, terrible, we went to their website and told them it was terrible, they sent a coupon for a free large deluxe pizza. It's like we got a free pizza for sampling a new product!

All major fast food chains have a nationwide toll free #, it's usually printed on their bags, and they all have websites with customer service links. It pays to complain!!! (but don't do it on the local level). Dig in!

I don' t know mc donalds policies, but I worked at KFC for a while and if an order was messed up we were to completelly replace the full order, it didn't matter if it was a huge meal and all we did was forget an indivaul wedge, if they left the store and called back we were to replace the WHOLE mean no questions asked. unless they were frequent flyers and constantlly said that their order was wrong. even if they dinned in and we screwed something up we were suppose to fix it and give them something, a wedge, or pies or something. I wowuld call Mcdonalds manager and tell him that this is the second, or third (how ever many times this has happened) and that you do like their food and do a lot of buneniss with them but you are thinking about finding another fast food place to eat because they never can seem to get the order right and tell him that you had to come get what they messed up and tell him how the waitress acted, if you know who it was (as in what they looked like) tell him that too. I saw several people get repermanded and straighten up after an episode like that. If that doesn't work or you are not satisified email their headquaters, and tell them how you feel you were not served. (We got a ton of coupons for doing that one time)

Actually, you check your bag prior to leaving the drive thru window or the inside of the place. And you talk with a manager if any employee starts to get ugly. Keep your receipt -- the manager is usually the one who will handle it inside the store. You are right, they do not compensate you if you have to go back -- I learned that it is not worth it. But I check now prior to leaving even if I have to hold up the line or drive forward and take it back in. When they are wrong, they bring it out to me after I pull forward and they apologize. End of it. These are often people who have never had any other job with the public -- many of them are learning English as a second language. It is a learning experience. By going there -- think of it as helping to fund their education with the public. If they mess up too often or too badly, they will not be able to continue to work there.

Call and ask for a manager and explain to him just as you did on here. You would think the least they could do is offer you a courtesy meal. As far as them making you feel bad and like you were trying to get something free, that is totally uncalled for so let the manager there know that in future if that if how you are going to be treated then you can find other restaurants to spend your money at.

I feel yah.. I got a letter from Chase regarding some account info that they accidentally threw in the trash. There solution to help me watch my credit was to use some free credit check deal that they don't even own!!! Funny how they are the ones that f-ed up and yet I am possibly the one with f-ed up credit and the one that has to do all the legwork and some other company foots the bill for their free service!!!!! When in the heck are these companies gonna start taking resposibilty for screwing their customers over???

Don't trust them to provide you with the correct order period!

As some one said pull over and check the contents of your bag before you go out the driveway. We usually don't bother with the drive through and go inside but before I leave the store or start the car, I without fail check, as it has happened to me. I also watch them while standing at the counter.

thats a real piss off. That happens to me sometimes. Show to them that your angry (not to the poor teenager behind the counter who didnt have anything to do with what goes into the bag and is just doing his/her job) lol. Then make a complaint and ask for some sort of compensation, if you are not satisfied, write a letter of complaint. If nothing happens from there, contact comsumer affairs

It's fast food. Quality or service isn't exactly fast foods motto. I mean, after all most people working at fast food are in high school kids, college kids or drop outs. If you want good service go to a restaurant.
