I would see a Dr. Have a blood test to check for H.Pylori which can cause you to be very sick at the stomach and can cause more serious problems. Prilosec would have to be given along with a very strong antibiotic, they have a kit for it, very expensive. my husband had it. It's a bacteria that causes ulcers. But, if you've been checked all ready, I don't know. Belching can be acid and something like mylanta can help that. Not supposed to take prilosec for long periods of time. It knocks down the acid and good bacteria in your stomach and intestines and allows bacteria to grow. Should go off and on. See Dr. if not better.

What should I avoid while taking omeprazole?
This medicine can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or bloody, call your doctor. Do not use anti-diarrhea medicine unless your doctor tells you to.
