I have a friend, who never ever had any good friends before me, she told me that she had a friend before but her mother did not allow her and him to remain friends because she was a bit doubty about that boy (like all mothers are!), there was a time that she had to choose between that boy and her mother. She chose her mother. (Her guy friend was having a bit of a crush on her, well she was not looking for love but friendship. This guy supported her during the bad times. But since she did not want to hurt the guy in the long run she had to give up her friendship as well. She is still very hurt by the incident. So, Guys, did she do the right thing?

Well considering that almost every guy friend that any girl has, has a crush on them, its normal and it really shouldn't be worried about. Yes, picking your mother was right, but in the long run "she" eeds friends more than anything. Can "her" mom go to school with her and be "her" best friend? nope. I say try and make ends meet with this guy.

I'm a mom and it's very hard for me to say anything. My daughter used to date guys I really didn't approve of. And I don't know what this boy was like. I don't think she should have given up the friendship at least. But I guess what's done is done. Maybe, she can get back friends with him when she let's go of mom's apron strings. And I didn't mean that badly. If I knew what this guy was like I might be able to say more. Sometimes moms have good intuition about a guy and sometimes they don't. I hope it works out for her.

well kinda...i mean family generally comes above friends...but it still hurts all the same...eventually, with time she should get over it tho...from the way it sounds to me tho, she liked him as more then a friend...and if she actually loved him its gonna take her a lot longer to get over it...eventually she should tho...i mean she's still young...either way...hard situaution...not fun to deal with
